30-Year-Old Venezuelan Man Fatally Struck by Truck on A16 Highway

A man appearing to be in his thirties was run over and killed by a semi-truck on the A16 Naples-Canosa in the territory of the Irpino municipality of Venticano. The victim was walking on foot along the roadway, in the direction of Naples, probably after having broken down. Investigations are underway by the Polstrada of Grottaminarda. The driver at the wheel of the heavy vehicle, in shock, explained the dynamics of the tragedy to the Polstrada agents of Grottaminarda: he attempted to brake to avoid the impact, but the attempt was in vain. The victim was thrown many meters away, losing his life instantly. The young man had been living through a difficult and unstable period for some time - according to what the investigators report. On the orders of the Benevento Prosecutor's Office, competent for the territory, the body was transferred to the hospital for forensic examinations.
