By delegation of the prosecutor of the Republic of Naples, it is communicated that the carabinieri of the Naples Capodimonte station, together with the soldiers of the operational nucleus of the Vomero company, have arrested a 37-year-old Neapolitan man. The man is seriously suspected of the crimes of robbery and receiving stolen goods. The arrest was validated by the Gip of Naples, who simultaneously ordered the pre-trial detention in prison for the suspect.
The investigations of the military coordinated by the Naples Prosecutor's Office have allowed to gather several elements against the 37-year-old. The suspect would have - on February 15th - committed two armed robberies against two fuel distributors. The first robbery, which took place in the morning, was against an employee at the service station on De Amicis Street, while the second robbery took place in the evening on new Toscanella Street against an employee. In both circumstances, the suspect would have used a stolen car. In the first episode, the 37-year-old would have grabbed the employee by the neck and then took a sum of money. In the second event, the suspect would have threatened with a gun, always for an unjust profit, the employee.
The carabinieri, coordinated by the Neapolitan prosecutor's office as part of an anti-robbery service, identified the car in question and the 37-year-old on board the same car getting out of the vehicle. The man, who got on a scooter, fled precipitously only to be stopped and arrested. The house search allowed to find a theatrical gun without a red cap with a magazine inserted and a blank cartridge caliber 8 compatible with other 2 cartridges found inside the car used for the 2 robberies. The precautionary measure is a provision issued during the preliminary investigations, against which appeal means are admitted and the recipient of the same is a person under investigation and therefore presumed innocent until final judgment.
