42-year-old Man Arrested for Assaulting Police Officers in Frignano

A 42-year-old man from Frignano will face charges of insulting a public official and personal injury, after he was arrested last night shortly after attacking the Carabinieri of the operational and radiomobile nucleus of the Aversa company, while they were engaged in city nightlife control services. The incident occurred on Liberty Avenue, a few hundred meters from the center of the Norman city. The military were approached by the 42-year-old who, in his car, after flashing his car's headlights insistently at the Carabinieri to attract their attention, got out of the vehicle and approached them wielding a wooden club over 60 centimeters long. The man, in an obvious state of psychophysical alteration due to the consumption of alcohol, asked to be taken to a bar because, for trivial reasons related to the consumption of some drinks, he wanted to beat the owner of the commercial establishment. The Carabinieri managed to disarm him and take him to the barracks where, as soon as he got out of the car, he began to rant against them, attacking them with kicks and punches. He was immediately arrested and taken into house arrest, at the disposal of the judicial authority. The stick wielded by the 42-year-old has been seized.
