47-Year-Old Man with Psychiatric Issues Kills His Elderly Father in Eboli

A 47-year-old man, Vincenzo Santimone, reportedly with psychiatric problems, killed his 76-year-old father, Riccardo. The murder occurred this evening in Eboli, on Bartolo Longo street, at the Rione della Pace. The victim was slashed in the throat with a kitchen knife, for reasons still unclear, at the end of an argument. The elderly man walked a few meters and then died, falling violently on the floor near the bathroom. He was found in a pool of blood. The 47-year-old was arrested. The local Carabinieri company intervened at the scene, alerted by some residents frightened by screams coming from the man's house. The murderer's elderly mother was also in the house, bedridden and in despair. After the crime, Vincenzo Santimone called his brother.
