57-Year-Old Motorist to Face Charges for Roadside Injury in Pietramelara

The 57-year-old who, on the evening of February 19, while driving his car along San Pasquale Street, in Pietramelara, in the province of Caserta, side-swiped an Aprilia Scarabeo motorcycle, owned and driven by a 26-year-old Ghanaian worker, resident in that center, will have to answer for road personal injury. Following the violent impact, attributable to the motorist's violation of the rules on road traffic discipline, the 26-year-old lost control of the vehicle and fell onto the road surface. The immediate intervention of the local Carabinieri Station allowed the motorist to be identified and requested the intervention, on the spot, of medical personnel from the '118' service who, having ascertained the serious condition of the 26-year-old, arranged for his admission, in code red, to the hospital of Caserta. The Ghanaian is hospitalized due to the multiple fractures reported, but is not in danger of life. The findings and investigations of the Carabinieri allowed to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident and to proceed, this morning to the deferment in a state of freedom of the motorist.
