85-Year-Old Man Dies After Being Struck by Car on City Outskirts

An eighty-five-year-old man has died after being hit on the outskirts of the city in the Capodimonte area. The deceased man is Bruno Mazzone, originally from Apollosa but living just a few meters from the site of the accident. The elderly man was on the side of the road when he was run over by a Lancia Y car driven by a fifty-year-old man from Benevento. The man was rescued and taken to the emergency room of the "San Pio" hospital where he died a few hours later. The local police were on the scene for investigations. The magistrate ordered an external examination of the body by the forensic doctor Francesca Iannaccone. In the next few hours, the magistrate will decide whether to order an autopsy.
