A Birthday Gone Wrong: Unauthorized Street Party in Naples

A birthday gone wrong for the newly 40-year-old Neapolitan who last night decided to celebrate his milestone year with a real show of Neapolitan singers on the public street. It happened in via Rimini, in Naples, where officers from the San Lorenzo operational unit intervened following reports from citizens. The man evaded identification. On the scene, the local Police found that the event, organized to celebrate a fortieth birthday, was completely unauthorized and therefore proceeded to stop the event and clear the area. The organizers were fined for illegal occupation of public land, for the lack of permits, noise impact, and for the lack of authorization for the public performance.
