A Month of Events Dedicated to Gender Equality

The month of events dedicated to Gender Equality opened with an open-air traveling exhibition created through small works of art, drawings, and stories dedicated to women, made and posted in the streets and villas by students from the area. Hundreds of panels with writings and drawings of women who have marked the history of the world were placed in San Giorgio a Cremano in Troisi square, De Lauzieres street, Carlo Di Borbone square, Villa Falanga, Villa Vannucchi, and Villa Bruno and will remain there until March 31 in a sort of traveling and open-air exhibition. On the occasion of International Women's Day, the participation of hundreds of students belonging to the comprehensive institutes of the city and the high schools IIS Scotellaro and Iti Medi, was the signal of the common will to share true gender equality and condemn any form of violence and abuse against women. 'The result is surprising - said Giorgio Zinno - but the most beautiful aspect was the joyful participation of the students engaged first in the creation of the panels and then in marching to exhibit them in the city. Reading their thoughts, seeing their works of art, and sharing so much participation is the signal that together we are doing a good job: the world of school, institutions, civil society.' The next appointment is on March 9 at 9:00 PM with a comedy play focused on women, performed by the actress Daniela Ioia, in Fonderia Righetti and then on March 11 in Carlo di Borbone square where from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM the State Police Camper will be present for the campaign 'This is not love'.
