A Night of Remembrance and Emotion: Honoring Young Musician Giovanbattista Cutolo

Friday, March 22, in an evening dedicated to memory and emotions, held as part of the project "Youth and Music as Tools for Inclusion and Social Growth: An Operational Experience", funded by the Fondazione Banco di Napoli and promoted by "I Cantori di Posillipo", to remember the young musician Giovanbattista Cutolo, who was killed in Piazza Municipio in Naples, the Choir Ensemble of the musical high school of the IIS Perito-Levi in Eboli, directed by Professor Antonella De Chiara, received, along with two other schools from the province of Naples, the Giogiò Award. The evening, promoted by Santina Picone, president of the association "I Cantori di Posillipo", and by Gaetano Raiola, director of the choir ensemble in which Giovanbattista played, was presented by Veronica Maya and saw the performance of the three schools that stood out in the musical educational landscape, from kindergarten and primary school to the musical high school and the middle school with a musical focus. The award for the musical high school went precisely to Perito-Levi, led by the headteacher Laura Cestaro. The awards were delivered by Giovanbattista Cutolo's mother, Daniela Di Maggio, who just a few weeks ago had recalled from the stage of the Sanremo Festival her fight so that her son's death could represent a turning point for Italian Justice.
