Afternoon of Terror in Casalnuovo di Napoli as Building Catches Fire

Afternoon of terror in Casalnuovo di Napoli for a building that caught fire on Vernicchi street. Carabinieri (military police) and firefighters rushed to the scene. The apartment that caught fire is located on the second floor of a 5-story building, inside Parco Gallo. Carabinieri and firefighters evacuated all the residents. The only person injured, transported by ambulance 118, is the owner of the involved apartment, a 47-year-old woman. The woman is currently hospitalized in the emergency room of Frattamaggiore and seems to have suffered smoke inhalation but is not currently in life-threatening condition. The causes of the fire seem to be traceable to a short circuit. The entire apartment caught fire. Structural checks are now underway.
