An agreement has been signed at Palazzo S. Agostino between the Province of Salerno and the Municipality of Vietri sul Mare concerning the garden adjacent to the "Giancappetti Workshop" and the municipal road, and the maintenance of the Villa Guariglia Park in Raito. The document was signed by President Franco Alfieri, representing the Province of Salerno, and Giovanni De Simone, mayor of Vietri sul Mare.
The memorandum of understanding aims at the conservation of the cultural asset of the Villa Guariglia Complex and its gardens, in order to allow full enjoyment by the citizens. Villa Guariglia, the residence of Ambassador Raffaele Guariglia who was also the Foreign Minister of the Badoglio Government, real residence of Vittorio Emanuele II in 1944, now also home to the Museum of Ceramics, is owned by the Province of Salerno and is located in the territory of Vietri sul Mare.
With the signing of the memorandum, the administration of Mayor Giovanni De Simone has taken on the commitment of securing, routine and extraordinary maintenance of the garden adjacent to the "Giancappetti Workshop" and the municipal road, and the maintenance of Villa Guariglia Park. For the Municipality of Vietri sul Mare, this represents a strong contribution to the conservation of its historical heritage, also aimed at the cultural promotion of the territory.
