An agreement to allocate in hotels the evacuees of a possible evacuation of the Phlegraean Fields has been signed between the regional civil protection and Federalhotels Campania. Last autumn, at the height of the resurgence of bradyseismic phenomena, the government had enacted the law containing special risk prevention measures that provided for the expedited emergency plan under which the regional entity had initiated talks with Federalhotels to organize, if necessary, the temporary reception of those citizens to be removed from Pozzuoli based on alert levels.
In these days the agreement has been ratified: it will therefore be the regional delegation of the hotel association to manage the hospitality of the possible evacuees, both in a preventive and emergency phase, in case it is not possible to accommodate them in the reception facilities provided by the municipal civil protection plans. Federalhotels Campania, for its part, will provide the civil protection with a list of hotels willing to host the evacuees from which those to be chosen according to criteria that take into account the availability of places compared to the specific security need, closer proximity to inhabited centers and geographical proximity to the area affected by the emergency.
