Agropoli Launches New Municipal Micro-Nursery Service

Starting Thursday morning, with the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the new municipal micro-nursery service in Agropoli is underway. It is directly managed by the Municipality of Agropoli in collaboration with Agropoli Cilento Services for its operation. This adds to the already existing municipal nursery but managed by the Zone Plan S/8, thus expanding the range of socio-educational services in the city. It takes place inside the school complex for children of the First Educational Circle, with entrance from Piazza della Repubblica. The venue has been subject to maintenance work both inside and outside in recent weeks, making it suitable for its purpose. The service, dedicated to minors aged between 12 and 36 months, will be provided from Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4 pm. It adds to the one already active at the “Mozzillo” school, located in Piazza Mediterraneo and managed by the Zone Plan S/8. In this case, too, there will soon be news consisting of expanding the existing service with two additional sections that will be allocated at the “Giovanni Paolo II” oratory, on the upper floor. For the service directly managed by the Municipality, a selection phase of the applications submitted by the parents of the minors was held in recent weeks. In total, there were 22 applications produced. Minors not usefully placed, at the moment, in the ranking list (based on ISEE, single-parent families, and presence of other minors in the family) may have access to the service in case of withdrawal by those preceding them. "For the first time - states Mayor Roberto Mutalipassi - we activate the municipal micro-nursery service under direct municipal management. Thus, the socio-educational service in the city is enriched, which constitutes a fundamental reality aimed at the training and socialization of children in the perspective of their psychophysical well-being and the development of their potentialities.
