Aldo Giuffrè Honored with Staircase Naming Ceremony in Naples

This morning, the ceremony for the naming of the Aldo Giuffrè Staircase took place in memory of the Neapolitan actor and director who died in 2010. The staircase, to which the city administration has decided to attribute the new toponym, is located in the Vomero district, between Gaetano Donizetti street and Luigia Sanfelice street (on the side of Sanfelice street). Great satisfaction was expressed by the deputy mayor with responsibility for toponymy for the ceremony that allowed to honor the memory of a great actor. Aldo Giuffrè was a very important figure in theater, television, and radio and is a fundamental part of Italian culture, for the way he made 'high' culture accessible to the general public through his experience in theater, from which he came before becoming a major protagonist on television starting from the 60s onwards. The staircase is located in a place that was particularly dear to him and will serve to actively and vividly keep the memory of this great artist alive in his neighborhood and for all those who will pass by and read his name.
