On January 29, 2024, at 10 a.m., the presentation of the IV edition of the project 'Justice Adopts the School', conceived and curated by the Vittorio Occorsio foundation, within the framework of a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Education and Merit and in collaboration with the Carabinieri.
The event will take place in the main hall of the Francesco Morano Higher Institute in Caivano, located in the heart of the Green Park, thanks to the foundation's collaboration with the head teacher of the Morano Institute - Eugenia Carfora - and with the government's extraordinary commissioner for Caivano - Fabio Ciciliano - , in the presence of 120 students from the institute and two other schools in the municipality and with the streaming connection of the 107 schools participating in the 'Justice Adopts the School' project, scattered throughout Italy. The students involved will be about 6,000 thanks to 100 tutors among provincial commanders of the Carabinieri, senior magistrates and relatives of victims of organized crime and terrorism.
The symbolic meaning of meeting in a school in Caivano is to tell a positive story, that of young people who daily prove that change is possible, that rebelling against crime and illegality does not require isolated heroic acts but the effort of all to become a community and resist the temptations of easy gain that criminal life can offer.
The heart of the meeting will be the comparison of students with the Attorney General of the Cassation, Luigi Salvato, who is also a member of the scientific committee of the Vittorio Occorsio foundation, who was born and grew up near Caivano and who knows those places very well, and who will tell how he witnessed the genesis of the Green Park and its degradation.
