Anti-Drug Operations Intensify Near Municipal Villa in San Nicola la Strada

The anti-drug services of the Carabinieri of the Caserta Company continue intensively near the municipal villa of San Nicola la Strada. The Carabinieri of the local station, late last night, surprised and stopped three Gambians aged between 25 and 31 years old in largo rotonda, while they were selling hashish to some customers. Seeing themselves surprised, one of them tried to escape on foot but was chased and stopped after about a hundred meters. During the escape, he threw some 10 euro banknotes on the grass, considered proceeds of the drug dealing activity. Six grams of drugs were seized. All three detainees, already known to the law enforcement, were first taken to the barracks then arrested and taken to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison. They will have to answer for drug trafficking in competition. Three young buyers were also identified, immediately reported to the Prefecture of Caserta for the related administrative violations.
