It is Antonella Serpico, the headteacher of the Technical Industrial Institute "Giordani" in Caserta, who is the president of the new Equal Opportunities Commission. During the inaugural meeting of this body, held in the council chamber of the Municipality of Caserta, the names of the vice-president, Raffaella Feola, and the secretary of the Commission, Barbara Pacilio, were also announced.
Attending this first session were the mayor of Caserta, Carlo Marino, the Councillor for Equal Opportunities, Emilianna Credentino, the Councillor for Social Policies, Antonio De Lucia, the councillor Giovanni Comunale and the municipal councillors who are part of the Equal Opportunities Commission Maurizio Del Rosso, Dora Esposito, Roberta Greco, Rosaria Mona and Liliana Trovato. Both Mayor Marino and Councillor Credentino are by right members of the Commission.
The body also includes: Antonio Crocco, Disability Manager of the Municipality of Caserta, as a representative of the world of disability, Ezia Pamela Cioffi, Director of the Belvedere of San Leucio, as a member of the CUG (Single Guarantee Committee), Biagina Iavazzi, representing the Asl Caserta, Monica Matano, Head of the Provincial School Office of Caserta, Ermelinda Iannone of the Cgil, Maria Nicolina Minelli of the Cisl, Rosa Glorioso of the Uil. Also present were three members designated by the Youth Forum of Caserta (Elena Palmieri, Angelica Mingione and Laura Schiavo) and the representatives of associations and movements dealing with equal opportunities: Francesca Della Ratta, Annamena Mastroianni, Matilde Pontillo, Maria Di Lorenzo, Carmela De Rosa, Francesca Del Prete, Maria Rosaria Lembo, Giovanna Paolino and Ada Rella.
