The agents of the Mobile Squad of Salerno and Catanzaro have executed an order, issued at the request of the Prosecutor's Office of Salerno, which has ordered the precautionary custody in prison against Salvo Gregorio Mirarchi, previously convicted for weapons and drugs, now accused of threatening a public official, aggravated by the mafia method.
The investigations started from the discovery of a letter coming from the Prosecutor's Office of Catanzaro and directed towards Nicola Gratteri, at the time of the facts Prosecutor of Catanzaro.
The text contained explicit death threats against the magistrate and a substitute prosecutor if they did not work to get the author of the text himself out of jail, within a short time limit.
From the analysis of the references present in the text of the threatening letter - reads a note from the prosecutor Giuseppe Borrelli - the judicial police had already identified Mirarchi as its possible author and, to have confirmation, the Prosecutor's Office of Salerno has ordered the execution of two different graphological consultations by the Scientific Police, on two different letters coming from him.
