Benevento and Sannio's Ambassadors Worldwide Initiative

The municipal council, chaired by Mayor Clemente Mastella, sharing and developing the proposal received from the cultural association "Di.Co. Digital and Contemporary Art", has approved, on the initiative of the Culture Councilor, the resolution concerning the establishment of the figure of "Ambassadors of Benevento and Sannio in the world", with the formation of a network of ambassadors, thus recognized. As explained by councilor Antonella Tartaglia Polcini, the project "translates into a concrete promotional initiative, as it institutionalizes a recognition to be attributed to non-resident individuals who have distinguished themselves in their field of interests and occupations, raising the name of their origin territory, so they can continue to carry out voluntary activities to promote the economic, social, and cultural development of the territory". "The project-idea - continues councilor Tartaglia Polcini - lends itself to translate into a real Action for the pursuit, in particular, of the following purposes: to promote the image of Benevento in the world, to attract tourists and productive investments; to strengthen the ties of Benevento and Sannio emigrants with their community of origin, also with the aim of facilitating their return and social and work reintegration; to create conditions that facilitate the international projection of the city and the entire territory of Sannio; to contribute with ideas and projects to the improvement of the life experience in the territory of Benevento and Sannio". As stated in the resolution, the recognition functional to the establishment of "ambassadors of Benevento and Sannio in the world" and the related "Network" stands as an important means of promotion and diffusion of the culture and activities of the territory internationally, both as a tool of territorial marketing and to spread the culture of innovation, also in the way of enhancing the potential of the territory, especially for the benefit of young people from Benevento and Sannio. Particularly satisfied, for this further and far-sighted signal of promotional openness on a large scale by the institutions of the territory, declares the mayor, who on this occasion thanks "for the availability to collaborate the president of the Province of Benevento, having consulted whom will start this initiative that allows to set in motion a virtuous circle capable of triggering important channels of communication and cooperation for the development of the image of Benevento and Sannio in the world".
