Benevento's Via Cocchia Road Sinks Further Amid Neglect

“We are addressing the situation of Via Cocchia again after a year: a year in which, despite the usual flurry of statements and reassurances, as often happens with the Mastella administration, absolutely nothing has happened.” Thus begin, in a statement, the councilors of the PD group at Palazzo Mosti, who add: “Via Cocchia is indeed affected by a serious and worrying road decay: in some cases, the road is full of potholes, while at the intersection with Via Napoli, the roadway has even sunk by tens of centimeters. It is a very dangerous situation as documented by the residents who, worried, contacted us: cars, motorbikes, school buses pass there, and obviously just a small distraction can lead to serious consequences that could become tragic.” The Democratic Party councilors also recall that, in the past months, “when the case had been reported again, councilor Pasquariello had spoken of imminent work: months have passed and there is no sign of the work. Given the danger of the situation, we have also met with the citizens of the area and, acting as their spokesperson, we ask for immediate action, not just announcements, to solve the problem.”
