Beyond Expectations: The Success of 'Take Care of Yourself' Solidarity and Volunteering Event

A success beyond all expectations, the solidarity and volunteer event 'Take Care of Yourself' promoted by the Caserta section of Campus Salute Onlus and hosted in the Municipality of San Marco Evangelista thanks to the availability of the mayor Marco Cicala. This year's 'Health Village' was set up by the Campus volunteers and the local Civil Protection at the comprehensive institute 'Viviani', of which Maria Ruggiero is the principal, yesterday afternoon and this morning. A two-day event in which 331 services were recorded, a figure, according to the founding members of the Campus Caserta, Professor Rosario Cuomo, national councilor of the central committee of Campus Salute, and Doctor Maria Erminia Bottiglieri, former president of the Order of Doctors of Caserta, who have been organizing these events with tenacity and determination for over ten years, taking care of every detail, comparable to previous editions, despite there being fewer clinics. Mario Parillo, the Caserta manager of the Campus, was satisfied: 'A now well-established formula that of the itinerant Indoor Campus which allows for primary prevention and gives the opportunity for citizens from different communities to have preventive checks. Obviously, it is a very demanding job for the entire team of Campus Caserta, which always demonstrates great dedication and passion.' Tired, but repaid with the satisfaction of having offered a new service for the well-being of the citizens, the gastroenterologist Bottiglieri: 'This latest success is the result of the direct and indirect contribution of everyone, volunteer members and doctors who have dedicated part of their free time to the association and to solidarity. In the end, all our efforts are rewarded and also this edition of the Campus of San Marco Evangelista, made possible thanks to Mayor Cicala and the administration, gave us great satisfaction.' The two days of the Campus were also made possible thanks to the contribution of the Civil Protection of San Marco, the Command of the municipal police, the Red Cross, the staff of the hosting institute, and especially the students of the 'Manzoni' high school of Caserta, directed by Professor Adele Vairo, and of the Its Buonarroti, of which Professor Margherita Diana is the principal, who with their active participation confirmed themselves as essential for the success of the event. The first citizen of San Marco, Marco Cicala, was also grateful for the opportunity offered to his fellow citizens by the Campus and, in particular, to the founding members Cuomo and Bottiglieri, together with the Caserta representative Parillo and the national president Pasquale Antonio Riccio, for the opportunity offered to his fellow citizens: 'The Indoor Campus Salute represented an opportunity for the inhabitants of San Marco Evangelista and surroundings. Thanks to the founding members, who wanted it to take place in San Marco this first edition 2024 of the Campus, to the generosity of the volunteers, doctors, students, and their teachers who supported the work of the volunteers, with the support of the municipal administration, the initiative had a positive impact on the community and succeeded in its aim of promoting the culture of primary disease prevention.'
