Bike Path Renovation Begins in Naples with Support from Klm - Royal Dutch Airlines

Work has begun on the renovation of the bike path on Kennedy Avenue and New Agnano Street in Naples. The initiative is the result of a patronage act by Klm - Royal Dutch Airlines. In October of last year, the Municipality of Naples, along with those of Rome and Genoa, had joined the "Adopt a Bike Path" project promoted by the Dutch airline, and the agreement was formalized with a Council resolution approved on December 27. Klm will take care of the foundation's renovation and the horizontal and vertical signage, as well as the subsequent maintenance of the section that goes from New Agnano Street, in front of the park gate, to Tecchio square, running tangent to the Federico II University, the Cumana stations of Agnano, Edenlandia, and Mostra, and skirting the Mostra d'Oltremare. To allow the work to be carried out, an ordinance from the Road Mobility and Traffic Service has ordered the suspension of cycling mobility in the bike path sections involved from time to time. The conclusion of the intervention is scheduled for March 29.
