"There is a lot of humanity in the doctors of Caserta". These are the words of Don Antonello Giannotti to the Order of Doctors in Caserta for the blessing of the new large Council room, which was born from the unification of two environments. This initiative coincided deliberately with the National Day of Health and Social Health Personnel, Social Assistance Personnel and Volunteers. "This Day - recalled the president of the Order, Carlo Manzi - was established with the Law of November 13, 2020 in memory of those who were on the front line during the pandemic and lost their lives". Don Antonello was welcomed by the president and the entire executive council. "I remember how the Order was close to us during the Covid period, also with the donation of masks and what was necessary", Don Antonello recalled, who then added: "Taking care: this is what the doctor must do. Taking care is also a caress, a handshake, a good word. We should always act with the wisdom of the heart. This is especially true for you who are doctors, because you have to deal with the suffering Christ. Every time you meet a sick person it is as if you were in front of the suffering Jesus. Your task is a very high one. Ferdinando Palasciano said that the hospital evokes images of pain and suffering, but the work of those who in that place fight to help their fellow men is the purest thing in the human soul". President Manzi said: "We believe that Don Antonello's commitment should really be an example for us. In the health field, there is a lot of talk about proximity medicine and an example of proximity for us is really his work, his acting house by house, person by person. A proximity not in terms of health, but of solidarity. Also for this reason we have chosen to donate the previous furnishings of the two renovated rooms to the parish of Our Lady of Lourdes in Caserta, Don Antonello's parish". Carlo Manzi then announced that the new room will be named in memory of all those professionals who have disappeared due to the pandemic. And there will be a plaque to remember it. "A beautiful initiative that I share. It is a sign of great delicacy and gratitude on the part of the Order", Don Antonello emphasized.
