The Campania delegation returns from the Tournament of Regions with a rich haul. For the first time in history, in fact, two teams reached the final, both securing the runner-up position. The under-15 team, which ranked first in the initial group with Marche, Sicily, and Sardinia, then defeated Friuli Venezia Giulia in the quarter-finals and Veneto in the semi-finals, was defeated in the final by Piedmont Valle d'Aosta. The under-17 team also ranked first in the initial group with Marche, Sicily, and Sardinia, then beat Tuscany in the quarter-finals and Piedmont Valle d'Aosta in the semi-finals, narrowly losing in the final act against Lombardy (3-2).
Campania was the only southern region to bring two teams to the final. The other two teams present in Genoa also performed well, with the women's team, which after topping the initial group with Marche, Sicily, and Sardinia, narrowly lost to Romagna in the quarter-finals (1-0). Regret for the under-19 team that did not manage to advance from the initial group, despite a full score, due to a single goal difference in the tiebreaker with Sicily and Marche.
