CampaniAlleva Expo 2024: The Largest Livestock Fair in Southern Italy

The countdown is almost over for the ribbon cutting of one of the most awaited events in the Italian livestock scene: CampaniAlleva Expo 2024, the largest livestock fair in Southern Italy. The second edition of the event will take place on April 19, 20, and 21 at the Cecas headquarters in Benevento, in the Olivola district. The expo area will offer an unprecedented exhibition platform: CampaniAlleva will meet the demands of over 250 exhibitors including local producers, farms, breeders, and more, effectively tripling the numbers from the last season, with as much as 18,000 square meters of covered space and 15,000 square meters of open space. Expo 2024 will be the stage for over 700 animals belonging to 145 different breeds. The official presentation is set for Wednesday 10, at 17:00, at Palazzo Paolo V, along Corso Garibaldi. The mayor of the capital Clemente Mastella, the regional agriculture councilor Nicola Caputo, the president of the Province Nino Lombardi, and the agriculture councilor of the Molise Region Salvatore Micone will attend. Acting as hosts for the organization of Expo 2024 will be the president of the Breeders Association of Campania and Molise Davide Minicozzi and the director of the same association Augusto Calbi. Expected are cooking shows, workshops, a large food area that will promote the culinary excellences of Campania, Molise, and beyond, conferences, laboratories, dedicated educational areas, street food, and a zero-kilometer product market. Stands of all kinds will be ready to promote sustainability, innovation, and quality of the agri-food sector, celebrating Italian livestock farming. There will be exhibitors of equipment and sector services, research bodies, and institutions. Among the main events Open Dairy Show, dedicated to the Holstein and Jersey breeds, Open Beef Show for the Marchigiana and Limousine breeds, Dual Breeding Show of the Italian Red Pied. Horse lovers, on the other hand, will have the opportunity to attend the Interregional Show of Haflinger breed horses and the Italian Agricultural Tpr breed horses, in addition to the prestigious Top Show of equine and asinine breeds with limited diffusion as well as the Grand Equestrian Gala: a unique experience that will celebrate the excellence of the sector. There will also be the largest exhibition of Italian Animal Biodiversity, the exhibition of the Italian Mediterranean Buffalo, the Interregional Rabbit Exhibition, the Poultry Exhibition, the Ornithological Show, the Enci Dog Exhibition, and the hunting aptitude tests Pav for all the pointing breeds registered in the Italian-Enci stud book.
