Caravaggio's Masterpieces Attract Thousands in Naples

Over 3000 Neapolitans and tourists have admired the 'Flagellation' by Caravaggio, for the first time displayed in the diocesan museum, returning from the exhibition at the Louvre, thanks to the loan from Capodimonte. And twenty percent of these visitors chose to see with the integrated single ticket also the 'Seven Works of Mercy' at the Pio Monte. A double stop for a unique art journey, unprecedented in the historic center of Naples, which ideally completes by admiring the other two paintings of the artist currently present in the city: the 'Martyrdom of Saint Ursula' at the Gallerie d'Italia and the 'Taking of Christ' at Palazzo Ricca in Naples, at the headquarters of the Fondazione Banco di Napoli.
