«Carnival in the Vineyard» is the initiative conceived by Casa Setaro to share the joy and cheerfulness of the Carnival celebration in a truly special year. This year, in fact, the company celebrates its 20th anniversary: a significant milestone that the winery wants to celebrate with a series of events scheduled throughout 2024 to remember that moment in 2004 - explains Massimo Setaro - when this adventure officially began.
On Sunday, February 11th, at 11 am (in case of bad weather, the meeting is at 12 pm), the appointment is in the vineyard at via Cifelli 10b in Trecase, a place suspended between Vesuvius and the sea: guests will have the opportunity to take a walk in the vineyard to better understand the company philosophy and the beauty of the territory through the story of its peculiarities. For children, various playful activities are planned in the company of entertainers right from their arrival in the vineyard.
For lunch (1 pm), traditional Carnival menu with appetizers - stuffed zucchini flowers trio, stringy potato meatball, stuffed zucchini roll -, first course 'the three lasagnas' - classic Neapolitan, Bolognese and vegetarian with artichokes-; second course with ragù meatballs accompanied by potato chips. Finally, Carnival sweets with chatter and sanguinaccio, migliaccio. The lunch includes Casa Setaro wines. For children, kids menu with classic lasagna and meatballs with chips.
Before desserts, it will be possible to participate in 'Down the Mask': a blind tasting to discover the company's wines conducted by the sommelier and delegate Ernesto LaMatta of Ais Vesuvio, partner of the initiative. At 5 pm, a theatrical show 'Pulcinella and the Seven Misfortunes' will begin, which will unite adults and children before the final greetings.
