Caserta, Man Arrested for Corruption and Mafia-Method Aggravation

The police have arrested a 60-year-old man, originally from Casal di Principe, who was wanted for a final conviction. The Mobile Squad tracked him down and executed the prison order for a sentence of 4 years of imprisonment and a disqualification from public offices for 5 years for disturbed freedom of auctions and corruption aggravated by the mafia method. The man, with previous convictions for fraud, receiving stolen goods, and extortion, had been involved in an investigation aimed at uncovering a corruption system in Sant'Antimo, which involved the issuance of concessions and authorizations and the awarding of contracts in favor of companies close to the 'Puca', 'Verde', and 'Ranucci' clans, in exchange for money. The 60-year-old, already under house arrest for 3 years, is now in the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison.
