Caserta: Man Arrested for Sexual Assault in Abandoned Building

The State Police of Caserta have arrested a 43-year-old, of North African origin, for sexual violence against a woman. The officers of the patrol squad, during the patrol of the peripheral areas of the city of Caserta, were stopped by a person who reported the screams of a woman coming from an abandoned building. Upon entering the building, they stopped the subject while he was abusing a woman, found with torn clothes. Taken to the Police Station, the individual was found to have numerous previous charges and, during the standard procedures, he attacked the police officers, making it necessary to apply restraining straps to calm his aggressiveness. Both were found to have a makeshift shelter inside the building, as both were homeless. The woman was taken care of by the 118 emergency services and the man, at the end of the procedures, was arrested and taken to jail in Santa Maria Capua Vetere.
