His creation was awarded in 1978, on the occasion of the national chefs' association convention, with the gold medal, by president Luigi Carnacina. The dessert was definitively consecrated thanks to Carmine's brother, Alfonso, chef of the restaurant 'Antico Francischiello', who included it in the restaurant's menu. From that moment, the recipe of the lemon delight goes beyond the borders of the Sorrento peninsula to embark on a journey that will take it around the world.
