Celebrating the National Landscape Day: The Floridiana Event

On the occasion of the National Landscape Day, established by the Ministry of Culture with the goal of raising awareness among citizens on landscape-related issues, through activities across the entire national territory, the Regional Directorate Museums Campania, supported by the Friends of Floridiana APS association and in collaboration with the Touring Club, under the moral patronage of the municipality of Naples, proposes an event to enhance the Villa Floridiana titled 'Photographing the Floridiana.' The initiative, aimed at students of lower and upper secondary schools in the city of Naples, includes guided tour paths inside the historic garden, supervised by students of the Tourist course of the Don Geremia Piscopo institute of Arzano, and an en plain air photography workshop for smartphones, led by Prof. Angelo Ponticelli, belonging to the department of Graphics and Communication of the aforementioned school. Students will be able to participate in a photographic contest on social media by posting their best photos, with dedicated hashtags; the photos with the most likes will be shared on the social profiles of the Museum and the Association. In this way, the youngsters become protagonists of a narrative, also visual, of the cultural and landscape heritage, contributing to a virtuous process of care and shared protection between citizens and institutions, which stems from the awareness of the value of such heritage for the new generations.
