A chilling case in the province of Salerno. A 22-year-old inmate has been accused of sexual violence against a minor for the second time.
The Carabinieri of the Pontecagnano Station have executed an order for the application of the precautionary measure of custody in prison, issued by the Gip of the Salerno Court, at the request of the Salerno Prosecutor's Office, against A.M.R., a 22-year-old from Pontecagnano, already detained for another cause, accused of aggravated sexual violence.
According to the added accusatory hypothesis, the suspect would have sexually abused a minor between April and May 2023. It would be the 12-year-old who, at the beginning of January, was allegedly kidnapped by two hooded people and then released in front of the cemetery in the locality of San Martino in Montecorvino Rovella. On that occasion, the mother took the girl to the hospital in Battipaglia, reporting the kidnapping and fearing sexual violence against her daughter. The same 12-year-old, in May of last year, would have been the object of a previous kidnapping and on that occasion the 22-year-old was reported, who is now the recipient of the custody order in prison. The boy, originally from Pontecagnano, had a relationship with the minor and is currently in prison for robbery: it is therefore excluded that he could have committed the second kidnapping.
