City Road Maintenance is a Priority, Asserts Public Works Councilor

"The maintenance of the city roads is a priority for the municipal administration. There is no neglect, nor underestimation of the problem", says Mario Pasquariello, the Councilor for Public Works at Palazzo Mosti. "Both in 2023 and in 2024, 500 thousand euros were allocated to this specific expenditure chapter, derived from the fund for the renegotiation of mortgages. This clearly demonstrates the willingness to intervene in the neighborhoods and districts, despite the awareness that often the needs of the vast city territory exceed the resources actually available", Pasquariello continues. "As for some specific circumstances, we will intervene as a priority in the Liberty district, starting from Cocchia street, where an increase in the road surface has been recorded, which we will remedy as soon as the procedure for the concession of the contract is concluded. I specify that an update of the telematic platform for the awarding of tenders has caused some minor delays. However, this is a problem that has been overcome and soon the scheduled works, also for the maintenance of the roads, will start", Pasquariello concludes.
