Collaborative Agreement Signed to Support Prisoner Rehabilitation and Employment in Benevento

At the headquarters of Confindustria Benevento, a memorandum of understanding was signed today between the association, the penitentiary, the Municipality of Benevento, Asia spa, and Erbagil Tenuta srl. The aim of the protocol is to facilitate the re-education and socio-occupational integration of prisoners in vulnerable conditions, through the promotion of training courses and job opportunities within the prison. In detail, the Municipality of Benevento will allocate to Asia a community composter that the same company from via delle Puglie will manage within the Capodimonte penitentiary institute for the collection of organic waste from the prison's kitchens. The compost obtained will then be sold by Asia to the Erbagil company for the cultivation of medicinal plants also within the green areas of the prison, where a contingent of prisoners deemed adequate for the production needs will be hired. I am happy that some people, thanks to this protocol, will be able to find a job - explained the leader of Confindustria Benevento, Oreste Vigorito - and I am happy that there is a company that makes its activity available to facilitate the integration into the world of work of people on the path to recovery.'
