Community-Led Cleanup at the Aragonese Towers: A New Dawn for Naples

This morning in the area of the Aragonese Towers, a new cleaning intervention was carried out by the Association 100X100Naples, in collaboration with the Municipal Police, including pruning of bushes, fertilization, phyto-sanitary treatments, and watering. Additionally, a significant amount of waste and used syringes were removed. The cleaning and maintenance operations of the 5,000 square meters area of the Aragonese Towers have become constant in the last months thanks to the agreement made by the Municipality with the Association 1001x100 Naples which, as part of the "Adopt a flowerbed" project, intervenes on the greenery surrounding the Towers three times a week and takes care of numerous city squares according to a weekly schedule. "The public-private partnership works; it is an effective formula that is allowing us to recover decorum and livability in some of the most important places of the city where, for years, many problems were recorded and it was difficult to maintain lasting results. Today, the area of the Aragonese Towers has a completely new look," declared the greenery councilor Vincenzo Santagada.
