Community Meeting in Fontanarosa to Combat Scams

A community meeting was held in the parish with the citizens to warn the community about scams. The meeting was promoted in Fontanarosa by the local Carabinieri Station who met with the citizens at the parish center. Many, including the mayor Giuseppe Pescatore, responded to the invitation that was spread in recent days. Along with them was also the commander of the Mirabella Eclano Company. The attendees listened attentively to the advice given by the military to avoid falling victim to scams targeting the elderly. Not only that. Many topics were discussed, from the risks associated with internet browsing to strategies for defending against home thefts. Simple suggestions, accompanied by the narration of concrete episodes, helped the attentive citizens to empathize with a series of potentially dangerous situations for them. "Do not give in to requests for money or valuables. Be careful not to spread your personal data if you are not sure. And when in doubt, do not hesitate to contact 112," the Carabinieri's advice.
