Confindustria Benevento Organizes Conference on Extractive Industry and Waste Management

The conference organized by Confindustria Benevento, dedicated to the demands of local businesses operating in the extractive sector and waste management sector, both strategic, will take place on Thursday 29th, at 3 PM, at the Employment Center of Benevento on Via XXV July. The extractive supply chain, which before the collapse of recent years was worth 4 billion in GDP in Campania, today has the potential to become a driving force for development thanks to the major infrastructural works in progress. Urban waste management in the province accounts for 700 jobs and 80 million in turnover, which with the closure of an integrated cycle can not only be safeguarded but enhanced by new investments. The initiative, therefore, promoted as a moment of meeting and discussion with the Campania Region, aims to jointly identify (private operators and institutions) the ways to transform situations of criticality into development opportunities. The works, after the institutional greetings, will be opened by the president of the Environment section of Confindustria Benevento, Giuseppe Pancione, and by the president of Assoambiente, Chicco Testa. The interventions of the regional managers competent for the two subjects (Italo Giulivo and Antonello Barretta) and the intervention of the president of the Council of the Ato Waste Benevento, Pasquale Iacovella, will follow. Finally, the regional councilors Antonio Marchiello and Fulvio Bonavitacola will intervene. The conclusions will be entrusted to the president of the Union of Industrialists of Sannio, Oreste Vigorito.
