The Finance Police of the Provincial Command of Naples, as part of the intensification of activities against counterfeiting, have identified in the municipality of Pagani, a factory of over 600 square meters that produced thousands of counterfeit products and gadgets with counterfeit signs and logos related to the Champions League match, Napoli-Barcelona scheduled today, as well as to the SSC Napoli and other Serie A teams.
The "Green Berets" of the Ready Deployment Group of Naples have thus dismantled a supply chain of illicit products, produced in the factory in question, managed by a woman, legal representative of a ltd company operating in the textile sector, which manufactured and distributed the counterfeit goods for resale near the stadium and in areas most frequented by fans.
During the operation - a note signed by the prosecutor Antonio Centore, head of the Nocera Inferiore Prosecutor's Office, reads - over 11 thousand products (mostly scarves, uniforms and hats echoing the footballer Maradona) and dozens of high-precision machines, including heat presses and digital laser printers with integrated PCs, computers containing over 20,000 print files and work tools were seized.
Three workers were found working, all off the books. The owner of the company has been reported to the Nocera Inferiore Prosecutor's Office. The seized goods, if released on the market, would have yielded an illicit gain, estimated at over 300,000 euros.
