Crackdown on Fake Qualifications in Campania's Vocational Training Sector

“In a stormy moment for the vocational training in Campania, where the resurgence of the risk of misconduct is just around the corner, we have learned of portals that faithfully reproduce the regional ones to produce absolutely fake qualifications and certificates. We have already proceeded to inform the Campania Region, we are waiting for a decisive intervention and clear words,” states Luca Lanzetta, president of the Free and Autonomous Movement of Self-Financed Training Schools of Campania who, together with other more representative category signs of the sector in Campania, signs the letter sent on March 22 and addressed among others to the regional councilor competent in the matter, Armida Filippelli, in which it is highlighted how probable ill-intentioned individuals have recreated a page exactly similar to that of SILF Regione Campania, with a domain name that differs by a single point from the original one, and that would allow to verify the veracity of fake certificates. In fact, it was possible to “land” on such a fake site through a QR Code and the deed is done. “Episodes of this kind - the signatories of the letter write - do nothing but throw mud on the sector, discrediting and belittling the work that the training agencies carry out honestly every day, always with the goal of offering serious and quality training.” Unfortunately, Lanzetta continues, it seems to witness a script already seen and that we thought we had set aside. We discover instead now that there is still a way to go to not commit on one hand the mistakes that in the past have characterized the training in Campania, on the other to continue the path to give prestige to a quality training that in this region can be a vehicle for growth and opportunity for many young people (and not). “We count,” concludes Lanzetta, “that the Region immediately urges the judiciary and law enforcement to shed light on what happened and identify those responsible. The credibility of the entire sector is at stake, at this moment target of an unprecedented attack.”
