Crackdown on Illegal Construction on the Island of Ischia

The fight against illegal building on the island of Ischia continues, threatened by the irresponsibility of those who intend to build without respecting its landscape heritage. The Carabinieri of the Ischia station, together with technical personnel from the local municipality, have reported a local entrepreneur, today 26 years old, for illegal building. During an inspection at a tourist complex in Via delle Ginestre, in an area subject to seismic, environmental, and landscape restrictions, the military found the execution of building works without any title. 3 residential units were installed without authorization, the same goes for a sheet metal box of about 140 square meters. The illegal works were seized.
