Piazza Pacca, the city commissioner of Forza Italia Lucio Lonardo targets the slogans that stand out near the soon-to-be inaugurated tourist infopoint: "Benevento, the city of rediscovered history" and "Benevento where every stone tells a story, every road hides secrets, every step is a journey through time".
For Lonardo, these are mocking words, given the fate of the artifacts found and then covered during the works for the infopoint: "But what rediscovered history - he thunders - if you have indeed rediscovered it but then buried it, desecrating tombs and inserting between frescoes and ruins of historical interest tanks and reservoirs for the collection of white and black wastewater?". The infopoint is then defined as "the umpteenth 'scarrupizio', with which it is intended to further vulgarize a city of art".
Sarcasm also about the flower beds that surround the prefab, "a sort of Valley of the Gardens with laurel, sage, rosemary, border roses all massed in furrows as in the best agricultural traditions and even loquats, fruit trees that have little to do with historic centers.
