Daring Rescue of a Dog and Its Owner in Pontelatone

This morning, around 13, a team of firefighters and a team of experts in Speleo Alpine river techniques from the provincial command of Caserta, intervened in Pontelatone, in the locality of “Arnosello”, for the rescue of a puppy and its owner, who accidentally fell into a ravine adjacent to a watercourse. The red helmets, once on site, immediately proceeded into the dense vegetation surrounding the ditch, then performed anchoring and a descent and recovery maneuver vertically for about 60 meters. Once descended into the ditch, the firefighters rescued both the elderly owner, who had various wounds and abrasions, and his little dog, in good condition but still frightened, before pulling them out where the 118 personnel were ready to wait for the elderly for the necessary treatment.
