Dealer Escapes Police After Scuffle but Later Surrenders

A dealer escaped the carabinieri after a scuffle in San Cipriano d'Aversa. Later in the evening, he turned himself in at the station. The incident occurred last night on via Michelangelo Diana. What was supposed to be a routine check turned chaotic when the 29-year-old, upon seeing the carabinieri, started verbally assaulting them and physically attacking them. With his father's help, who was present at the scene, he managed to break free and escape. During his escape, he threw a black fanny pack on the asphalt, which was immediately recovered by the military. It contained a switchblade, two blocks of hashish totaling over 100 grams, a precision electronic scale, and 110.00 euros in small bills. The carabinieri of the Operational and Mobile Nucleus of the Casal di Principe Company, suspicious of the man's behavior and already familiar with him to law enforcement, decided to proceed with his check. His violent reaction, which exploded into a real aggression with kicks, shoves, and bites against the military, led them to use taser devices in their possession, which, however, failed to stop the fury of the 29-year-old who, having walked away, managed to temporarily lose his tracks. Later in the evening, realizing the futility of his flight, he presented himself at the local Carabinieri Station where he was immediately arrested. After the formalities, he was taken to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison. He will have to answer for resisting a public official, injuries, possession for the purpose of dealing drugs, and possession of weapons. Simultaneously, the father of the arrested, who during the control phase had physically interposed between the military and his son, favoring his escape, was reported in a state of freedom for resistance to a public official.
