Decò Juvecaserta 2021 Wins the Second Edition of the Antonio Giannoni Memorial

The Decò Juvecaserta 2021 has won the second edition of the "Antonio Giannoni Memorial" organized by the black and white team and reserved for the under17 category. The black and whites, coached by Nicola Liguori, defeated Uniobasket Maddaloni in the final with a score of 66-56 at the end of a match led from the early stages of the game and marked by a continuous attempt to come back into the game by the Maddaloni peers. In the match for third and fourth place, however, Step Back Caiazzo was successful over the peers of Città di Caserta with 68-53. At the end of the two final matches, played on the parquet of the "PalaPiccolo", the award ceremony took place with the trophy dedicated to the former referee and basketball executive delivered by the widow, Carla Africano. All participants were also awarded by Michele De Simone, provincial Coni delegate, by the Olympian Angelo Musone, secretary of the Panathlon Club, Nicola Scaringi, president of the Stelle al merito dello sport association, Francesco Farinaro, president of Juvecaserta 2021, and by Catello Porfido, president of the provincial committee Fip who presented the cups offered by Coni, Panathlon Club, Ansmes, and Fip Caserta. On the previous day of the event, which took place on the parquet of the "PalaPiccolo", Decò Juvecaserta qualified for the final by beating Step Back Caiazzo 76-55, while Uniobasket Maddaloni had the better of Città di Caserta with 69-50. Meanwhile, also at the "PalaPiccolo", tomorrow, Sunday, starting from 10 am, the finals of the minibasket tournament promoted and organized by Juvecaserta 2021 are scheduled, and the elimination phases were held in the gym "Paolino Mercaldo" of the Giannone high school with the participation of the minibasket centers of Juvecaserta2021, Basket Casapulla, S. Agnese di S. Giorgio del Sannio, Città di Caserta, Pielle Matera, and Uniobasket Maddaloni. All participants in the two basketball events were given a commemorative shirt specially made with the collaboration of the social cooperative "Fuoriclasse".
