Delays and problems in road restoration works in Castelvetere and San Bartolomeo

"From informal communications, it appears that the Sp 52 which connects Castelvetere in Val Fortore with San Bartolomeo in Galdo is the recipient of funds for restoration works awarded for an amount of about 670,000 euros and a further 820,000 allocated later. The works that should have started in September 2022 started in October 2023 and, at the moment, an asphalt coat has been made for only 4 kilometers but the works seem to be stopped." Thus Vincenzo Fuschini, provincial councilor of Forza Italia, in a question. "A landslide along the hairpin bends and a further landslide that risk interrupting traffic have been added to the previous general collapse. A second provincial intervention concerns the Sp 50 which connects San Bartolomeo in Galdo with Montefalcone in Val Fortore. On this road there is a landslide near the Fortore river and, apparently, there is also a blocked funding for this road." Critical situations "that prejudice mobility and the entire economy of the Fortore", with respect to which the provincial councilor "as leader of Forza Italia, but even more the Fortore population, loudly asks to know what are the measures taken by the Province to heal these criticalities. To date, those who have to travel those roads every day are left with only empty promises and empty words."
