Diego Demme is out of everything: the Italo-German midfielder has been excluded from both the Serie A list and that for the Champions League, updated today at the close of the January winter market. Napoli will present the two lists by midnight today, the blue club had to make several cuts to meet the parameters set by both the Football League and the Uefa for the coming season months.
Demme will continue to train with his teammates at least until the end of the season - when his contract with the club will also expire - but he can never be used by Walter Mazzarri in Serie A matches according to the list published by the blues through official channels.
But that's not all. An excellent double exclusion also from the list that will be presented to Uefa for the Champions League still to be played: both Piotr Zielinski and newcomer Leander Dendoncker are out. The Polish footballer has been on the fringes of the team for several weeks, also with his contract expiring. For the Belgian ex Aston Villa, on the other hand, a simply numerical and tactical choice, since all the other three new blue winter purchases have been included in the list.
