Dissolution of Municipal Councils in Monteforte Irpino and Quindici Due to Organized Crime Infiltrations

The Council of Ministers has ordered the dissolution of the municipal councils of Monteforte Irpino and Quindici. The decision was made following the work carried out by the access commissions for the verification of the risk of infiltrations by organized crime. The Government led by Premier Giorgia Meloni voted in favor of the dissolution measure, motivated by the interferences found of organized crime in the administrative operations of the two municipalities in the province of Avellino. Last year, the access commissions had been appointed by the prefect of Avellino, Paola Spena.
