Dojo 7 Blades Triumphs at South Italy Wukf Karate Championship

Eleven gold medals, 4 silvers, and 2 bronze medals. This is the medal tally of the Dojo 7 Blades from San Marco dei Cavoti, which with a selection of athletes participated in a new karate competition this time in nearby Avellino, on the occasion of the "South Italy Wukf Karate Championship", which saw the presence of about 800 athletes from various regions of the South. The karatekas, accompanied by family members and by the technical director Luca Tremonte, with the help of Martuccio and Zilla as assistant coaches, and Giuseppe Costanzo in the role of referee, experienced an intense day marked by a series of races. Participating in the Kata (form) and Kumite (fighting) individual competition were Francesco Tremola, Pellegrino Verzino, and Sofia Smiraglia (Reino); Giorgio De Palma, Angelica Paradiso, Giacomo Maria Leone, Gioia and Gabriel Cocchiarella (from San Giorgio La Molara); Cinzia Buonanno Brilli (Benevento); Matteo Fiscante and Simone Petriella (Circello); Alice Martuccio (Colle Sannita); Nicolò De Sciscio (Pesco Sannita); Francesco Coduti and Francesco Zilla (Montefalcone in Val Fortore); Raffaele Zipeto, Cosimo Leonardis, Matteo Zuppa and Gabriele Spagnoletti (Molinara); Serena Carpinelli, Francesca Rotunno, Daniele Carpinelli, Vittorio and Samuele Ialeggio, Lorenzo Barbato, Jacopo Zuppa and Luca Tremonte (San Marco dei Cavoti). In a statement, master Tremonte said he was "particularly satisfied with the performance of the kids in the competition, but above all for the mental growth and for the spirit of group and brotherhood that the group demonstrated during the competition.
