Domestic Violence Incident Leads to Arrest in Santa Maria a Vico

The screams coming from his home led the neighbors to dial the emergency number '112' to request the immediate intervention of the police. This happened last night in Santa Maria a Vico, where the military police intervened to quell a violent family quarrel. Upon arrival, they found a woman in an obvious state of agitation outside the house, with several bruises on her face caused, as she herself reported, shortly before by her husband's assault in the presence of their minor children. The victim, after receiving initial treatment from the medical personnel called to the scene, told the police that the assault by her husband, sparked by trivial reasons, was not an isolated case and that violent physical and verbal behavior towards her had been recurring for some time. A heavy situation that caused her a state of anxiety and fear for her own safety. The police then proceeded to identify and arrest the aggressor for domestic abuse. The man was arrested and placed under house arrest in another residence.
