Dramatic Car Chase Leads to Arrest in Naples

Yesterday morning, a man reported to the Operations Room that his car had been stolen on Alberto Marghieri street and that he was currently chasing the thief aboard another vehicle. Thanks to the descriptions provided by the victim, officers from the Vicaria-Mercato and Decumani Police Stations immediately set out in search of the stolen vehicle and intercepted it shortly afterwards on Garibaldi course where, upon seeing the officers, the driver made a sudden maneuver in an attempt to evade the check and flee into the adjacent alleys but, on Nicola Mignogna street, traffic halted his run. Here, the aforementioned abandoned the vehicle and continued the escape on foot but, was reached and stopped. Consequently, a 46-year-old man from Naples with a police record, was arrested for aggravated theft and resisting a Public Official.
